Real Salt Lake’s Immediate Success

10 Apr

Real Salt Lake has seen a glorified start to their season with both success in the Champion’s League and the start of the MLS season.

While most predicted the front-runners to be New York or Galaxy, there were those of us who sat quietly waiting for the season to start. Once news came out that RLS had progressed to the final of the CONCACAF Champion’s League with a thrilling 3-2 win in aggregate, the US Soccer world was a buzz, with the news on nearly every soccer blog across the United States.

With a game against MLS Cup Champions Colorado Rapids, Real Salt Lake will be tested in one of the most important games they will play through the start of the season. RSL is sitting at the top of the western conference currently, with a lead only in goal difference. After the Rapids suffered a horrid 3-0 defeat at the hands of FC Dallas on Friday, they can’t help but want to make up for it.

Only a week later RLS will head out to play Monterrey in the final of the Champion’s League. While it is no a big deal for most, Salt Lake could possibly be the first MLS Team to ever win the CONCACAF Champion’s League. With a brilliant side to boast, you can’t help but wonder what RLS is capable of achieving.

Spot on with this write-up, I truly think this website needs much more consideration. I’ll most likely be again to read way more, thanks for that info.
